Bluepoints Marina Spring Cobia, Dolphin and Kingfish Seminar |
| Bluepoints Marinas Spring Cobia, Dolphin and Kingfish Seminar presented by Capt. Billy Bright will be held 1:00 – 5:00pm February 16, 2013.
Arrive early and meet Capt. Billy along with other attendees as Bluepoints Marina will host a FREE Fishing Seminar Hot Dog Social 12:00(noon) – 1:00pm.
Capt. Billy has been a U.S.C.G. Licensed Captain for over 25 years and an active participant in fishing Florida’s’ East Coast since 1963. Captain Billy has guided clients to local and world record catches.
The topics of the Seminar will include some of Capt. Billy’s’ most secretive, jigging and live baiting techniques for Cobia and Kingfish as well as slow speed trolling techniques for Dolphin.
This must attend Seminar is for the beginning fishermen as well as the experienced fishing veteran that wants to catch more fish. Attending this Seminar will help transform you from, Fighting the Fish of a Lifetime to Fighting Fish for a Lifetime.
Admission is FREE and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.

Port Canaveral Holiday Boat Parade of Lights Sponsored by Bluepoints Marina Saturday, December 1, 2012
The Port Canaveral Holiday Boat Parade of Lights sponsored by Bluepoints Marina will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012. A Captains meeting for parade participants will be held at 6:00pm November 30, 2012 at Port Canaveral Yacht Club. Entry Fee is the Donation of a Non-Perishable food item to be provided to The Central Brevard Sharing Center.

IMPORTANT PARADE RULES and INFORMATION
- Be in the staging area in front of Port Canaveral Yacht Club no later than 5:15 PM. (Port Canaveral Yacht Club, Ocean Reef Club, BluePoints Marina have graciously opened their docks free of charge for this event to include overnight dockage. (Please call ahead for reservations)
- The parade will start at 6:00pm
- Monitor Channel 78A-USA for parade control, patrol and medical (Backup Channel 69)
- All boats will assemble in-front of Port Canaveral Yacht Club and start in order by number in the staging area . Details will be discussed at the Captains Meeting.
- Boat numbers given indicate your position in the lineup of the parade.
- No boats will be allowed to enter the parade except at the staging area.
- All boats must be able to maintain 6 knots.
- Port Canaveral Police Department and Brevard County Sheriff’s Office will be on the water for assistance for the duration of the parade. They may be reached on Channel 78 or channel 16
- Tow Boat services will be on the water for assistance if needed. They will monitor channel 16. Towing is at your expense.
- If your boat breaks down in any way, please drop out of the parade and call for assistance.
- The best viewing audience will be at Millikins Reef, Rusty’s, Fishlip’s and Grills, Baja’s, Victory Casino lines.
Safety
- Rules of the road apply for the following.
- Motoring to the staging area
- During the parade
- After the Parade back to your mooring
- Consumption of alcohol by the Captain or persons operating the vessel is prohibited and will not be tolerated. You are responsible for your vessel and passeng
- NOTHING MAY BE THROWN OR PROJECTED FORM THE BOAT AT ANY TIME OF THE PARADE.
- All boats are required to have proper safety equipment for their vessel as required by the USCG.
- Children under 6 yoa must wear a life vest at all times during the parade.
- Don’t follow the boat in front of you real close.
- No “bow riding” or body parts hanging over the gunnels while the vessel is in motion. This is dangerous and also a ticketable offense.
- No political banners or signage is permitted.
